The Home of the Ankara Family
Can you find the GCMHS Grad?
Welcome to the A-Family Web site! ("A" is for Ankara) This site was a dream that came to us, after the '96 reunion in Dallas, this was a full three years before anyone else started an Ankara Related web site. We thought it would be a good idea to start a web site for our Ankara, Turkey classmates. This idea has grown from that time, now many web sites are on the net dealing with most of the different classes who enjoyed their time in Ankara, Turkey. While most of those web sites will be listed here, or from a link on this site, some of them may be missed. That is only because we do not know of them. If you have a web site that deals with your times in Ankara, Turkey, while going to HS there, we would love to have a link to your site. Let us know send the link to ankarafamily@ankarafamily.net we would love to hear from you.

We would like you to know a few things before you begin your journey into the workings of the A-Family Web Site. This site is a labor of love, for the people involved with its contruction, and the web support team is made up of memebers of the various classes represented here. The A-Web team is devoted to this site and it's content. The "A-Family" was born during a conversation on the founding "ListServ", called ankara@yippyskippy.com at that time, (now has a new name but still most of the same people) a chat-group, if you will, people from the early 60's to the early 70's, chatting away in email online. Our group is the largest from those days in Ankara in the 60's and 70's. This web site is an extention of that group really. We hope that we can get together more often than every four or five years, celebrating in each other, and the fact that we have been found again. Most of us thought that would never happen at all. Well, we are here to assure you it has, and we are doing well knowing others are out there just like us. If you are new to this site and haven't had your email entered on our "ListServ" we would love to "chat" with you and find out what you have been up to for all these years. Send and email to webmaster@ankarafamily.net to get your email address added to our list and start chatting with your long lost friends from Ankara today! Please take a moment to check out this site, you will find things here you can find at no other. You will find that we like to get together every 6 months or so. We like to travel and have fun together. Thanks for coming to our site and we hope you enjoy your time here.

If you find errors, and we make them, we would ask that you let us know so that we may fix them. Send an email to webmaster@ankarafamily.net and we will get the job done. Thank you very much.

A-Internet
The A-Family started the GCMHS presence on the Internet after the '96 Dallas reunion. Upon returning home from that reunion a "discussion group" was initiated in email simply called "ankara". This List is still going strong today, more than six years later. If you want to be a part of this List Serv, send a message to ankarafamily@ankarafamily.net. Send your email address with your name, while in Turkey, give your class year, and years in Turkey as well. Then start getting email from your friends every day. We are continuing to make adjustments to this site. Check back often. Click on the bottom of the "scroll", to the right, for more links on the A-Family web site.

A-Media
Internet Media are used to keep in contact with our classmates from Turkey. There are people with AIM accounts, MSN-IM accounts, and Yahoo accounts, too. If you have one of the aforementioned accounts, and want to stay in touch, send your account name or "handle" to ankarafamily@ankarafamily.net. Thanks!

A-Mini Reunions
This is the place where you kind find someone, somewhere, having a Mini-reunion. It was decided, meeting every four years or so, was not enough. Mini-reunions are those gatherings, small in nature, but very big in "heart". Click on A-Mini Reunions above for the latest mini-reunion being held in your area. Time to party down!
